a Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As you enter the design phase of your renovation, you may for the first time turn the bulk of the work over to <b>a team of people outside your organization<\/b>, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project Managers<\/li>\n<li>Architects<\/li>\n<li>Engineers, Consultants, and Contractors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All will bring their professional expertise to bear on the project you have established, and your job will become centered on <b>adept decision-making<\/b>, and the management of both your <b>design team<\/b> and of <b>those within your organization<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artsbuildontario.ca\/pibi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2013\/08\/RENOcircle.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft that will help you realize your facilities vision is a complex undertaking that can seem daunting to arts organizations.\u00a0 A small-scale renovation can often be led by a management and architectural team already known to the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps a patron or a board member has a relationship with an architect who would be interested in joining the project team.\u00a0 Bigger projects may want to interview several design teams, much in the way you would for a new construction project.<\/p>\n<p>Owners beginning a design process should have an understanding of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the cast of\u00a0<b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"\/pibi\/?p=833\" target=\"_blank\">characters<\/a><\/span><\/b>\u00a0involved<\/li>\n<li>and how to
