If the implementation of your building project will occur in or around your existing facilities, it will likely have an effect on your day-to-day operations. Using the construction schedule as a guide, but understanding that it is likely to change (and get longer), map out what may be required to let you continue operations smoothly.
A few questions to ask:
- Will an alteration to entrance pathways need to be implemented for patrons?
- Will furniture or equipment need to be moved or stored while construction takes place?
- Will project staff need office space on-site?
- Do planned artistic events mean construction can’t take place during certain periods?
Think about these issues in advance and discuss them with your staff and project team to ensure a smooth transition into the construction period.
