A clear, well-reasoned project mission statement is the first part of a project concept. It clearly and concisely communicates:
- Why doing the project is necessary
- How a facility will be used
- How it will address the needs of the organization and community
The project mission can form the basis for the case statement used in fundraising, and as such should clearly address both internal and external requirements and benefits.
